I have been a Ham Radio Operator for 57 years. My first call in 1953 was WN1YZL and later W1YZL. I operated from Salem and Plaistow NH until 1962 and later moved to Haverhill, Ma. I Hold an Extra Class License W1RQ.I was employed for AT&T for 40 years and held positions in Testing, Quality, Standards Engineering, and Product and Market Management. In 1996 I retired and worked as a Contractor/Consulant at Bruce Technologies, Eaton Corporation and Lucent Technologies until June of 2000. I have been married for 49 years and have Four Children and seven Grand Children. My son is W1MAR.

 

I enjoy DX'ing and have achieved Honor Role #1 with 338 countries worked.

My station is as follows:

Transceivers:    TenTec OMNI VII and an ICOM 756 PROIII.
Amplifier:          Amp Supply LK800C
Antennas:          Cushcraft X9, HighGain DB1217 (Which works very well on 6 Meters)
                           TLDL on 75 /80 Meters and a Cushcraft 43' Dipole.
 Tower:              Rohn 45 at 75 Feet

I am usually on the 7130 DX Net every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on 7163 on the 163DX net from 5-8am.
